The Big Bang Theory attempts to explain the formation of the universe. What do you think the universe looked like before the Big Bang? What made the universe "bang?"
Before the Big Bang Theory I think the Universe was very dark and empty. Like a big dark room with no windows. You know somethings there but its too dark to see into.
Beforethe big bang all of the matter and energy of space was contained at one point. The Big Bang consisted of an explosion of space within itself, unlike an explosion of a bomb were things are thrown outward.

1. What are the four ways astronomers can detect extrasolar planets?
- Doppler Shift
- Astrometric Measurement
- Transit Method
- Gravitational Microlensing
Transit Method
If a planet passes directly between a star and an observer's line of sight it decreases the the stars apparent magnitude. And a sensitive instrument detects it and the size and orbit can be detected.

ACP- 5 things
The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy. Milky Way has almost 400 billion stars. The Milky way is a giant, it's diameter is about 100,000 light years.
The Red Giant is a giant star. The Sun is considered a giant star.
Dark energy is a property of space, but the empty space is not nothing. The empty space can make it's own energy. Nearly 70% of the Universe is dark energy. Dark energy causes the Universe to expand faster and faster.
Apollo Missions is when Astronauts leave the Earth to journey on the moon. This started almost 40 years ago. Six of the Apollo missions went to land on the moon: studying the heat flow, meteoroids, the soil, etc.
String theory: The best way I can explain it is that is states that there are smaller particles inside particles. A good example would be an eraser.

Monsoons!!
1. What is a monsoon?
A monsoon is a seasonal reversal of wind direction.
2. What 2 major factors cause monsoons?
Monsoons can be considered a good because they do not cause thunderstorms everyday, but an on and off pattern known as "burst" and "breaks".
4. Give 2 negatives of monsoons.
Monsoons can be in the negative, because they will cause heavy rainfall and destroy many homes, crops, and cattle.
5. In India 240 people died, there was major flooding due to a big heavy rainfall at the end of monsoon season.
6. I think monsoons are bad because they cause much damage, death, and flooding.
A monsoon is a seasonal reversal of wind direction.
2. What 2 major factors cause monsoons?
- The movement northern from winter to summer of the upper level high pressure system.(Bermuda High)
- The risking air and surface low pressure (thermal low)

Global Warming..Legit or not legit?
1. What is global warming?
Global Warming is the rising of the overall average yearly around the world.
2. Do you believe in global warming? Briefly explain.
Yes, I do believe some places below sea level are going to be flooded. Some of the theories do not sound reasonable to me.
3. Give three pieces of evidence to support your position on number 2.

- The freshwater in Iceland is going to melt and cause the oceans sea level to rise.
- Economists predict that an 80% increase in global energy demand will cause global greenhouse gas emissions to grow by 70% by 2050.
- As the temperature increases it will cause the oceans to evaporate more quickly, creating more clouds and rainfall.
- Global warming appears to have been occurring for the last 30-50 years.
- As the temperature increases it will cause the oceans to evaporate more quickly, creating more clouds and rainfall.
- If Global Warming is occurring then sea surface temperature should be also be increasing; hurricane frequency should be on the rise; and polar ice should be melting.
